Rishi Chawla is a lawyer based in New Delhi, India with rich experience in ICT Laws and policies. He holds a degree in law and Management. Having an IT background also facilitated his special interest in laws of the cyberspace, Telecom laws, ICT & Internet policies and other technology related laws. He closely works with the Ministry of Communications & IT (Government of India), ISP Association of India, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and other stakeholders in ICT.
Rishi is the Country Coordinator of GIPI project (Global Internet Policy Initiative (www.internetpolicy.net ; www.gipi.org.in). The objective of the GIPI project is to promote Internet through Legal and Policy reforms.
Rishi is the President of the New Delhi Chapter of Internet Society (ISOC) and
Managing Trustee of CCLPR (Center for Communications Law & Policy Research).
He has made presentations and represented at national and international forums and has successfully completed various projects.
