Sarr, Joseph

Dakar, President, NTIC Commission of the Dakar Regional Council

 

Teacher and researcher at the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology in Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar since October 1995, Joseph Sarr is also the head of the Laboratory of Heat at the Study and Research Centre on Renewable Energies since September 1983. In addition to its associative activities within various associations -association for Former Graduate Students of Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar, association for the Management of the Biodiversity called agBIO), he is a city councillor in the municipality of Hann - Bel Air where he currently chairs the committee of New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT). Joseph Sarr is also an elected councillor at the Regional Council of Dakar where he is the President of the Committee of New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT). Since June 2004, he is the Cities and Local Authorities focal point in he WSIS  Civil Society Bureau and the representative of the Regional Council of Dakar in the Network of Local Authorities for the Information Society - IT4ALL. Joseph Sarr received a doctorate in energetic (1983) and in fluid mechanics (1993) at Perpignan University (France). He obtained a Doctorate in Physics (1994) at Cheikh Anta Diop University.
